Three Years of Soundaboard!

This month Soundaboard celebrates its third year of existence!
As most of you realise a music blog dedicated only to unofficial recordings with this age isn't exactly common.
Thank you for being part of this, either by visiting, leaving comments, sharing, etc...
To make it a little different this month will be entirely filled with only two bands: Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult.
I hope you all enjoy this Black and Blue February and stay aboard.

Humble Pie - The Country Club, Reseda

This is also known as Route 66 and was captured in two shows in different times: tracks one to eight are from The Country Club, Reseda in the year 1981, and tracks nine to twelve come from The Spectrum, Philadelphia, in 1973.

Humble Pie is one of those bands that always deliver high energy on stage, this is truely recommended for all rock'n'roll fans.

Spirit - The Golden Bear 1978

Here's a nice Spirit show at The Golden Bear, Huntington Beach, California.

By this time they were a trio composed by Randy California, Ed Cassidy and Larry "Fuzzy" Knight, considered one of the best Spirit line-ups, apart from the original group that recorded the first four classic albums.

Jay Ferguson - Roslyn NY

Jay Furguson was the lead singer of Spirit between 1967 and the early seventies, then he left and formed Jo Jo Gunne with other ex-Spirit, Mark Andes.

After the split of Jo Jo Gunne around 1975, Jay started a solo career which had as a selling highlight the song Thunder Island that is played in this gig at Roslyn, supposedly in the year 1977.

The infamous Alice Cooper is back aboard with a killer show from his early career.
A good but incomplete recording from the North-American Killer tour, live at the Commack Arena in New York.

Rush - The Fifth Order of Angels

Time for some early Rush now, more precisely from August 26, 1974 on their first U.S. tour, live at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland.
This one hour concert is not necessary the rarest, I've seen it in some known sharing sites, but sure is one great Rush performance, in their hardest phase and with fine sound.

Journey - Winterland 1973

After receiving a request for early Journey shows I found exactly their first live performance.

Recorded on the last night of 1973 they played at the Winterland Ballroom and the headliner was Santana and his band.

I confess I didn't knew Journey pre-1979 and to hear this was a very nice surprise, completely different from the Steve Perry era (that I also like).

For the last day of 2009 a REO Speedwagon concert at the Market Street Arena, Indianapolis on the last day of 1984.
I still prefer the pre-1980 REO, but this is a nice show recorded on the Wheels Are Turnin' tour.

Aerosmith - San Antonio TX 1982

Here's a different Aerosmith, Joe Perry left the band in 1979, Brad Whitford in 1981 and one year later Rock In A Hard Place was released, an album usually put a little aside from the rest.
This concert is from that tour and it's really not that bad...
