Montrose - Rock The Nation (1974 & 1975)
Montrose with Rock The Nation, an unofficial release with recordings from the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland 1974 and on the last four tracks from Paris,France 1975 (?) with inferior quality.
One of the best Hard Rock formations from the seventies would however change after the '75 European tour and this raw sound was lost in subsequent years. For me musically the man to follow wasn't Ronnie but Sammy, in particular with his storming live shows.
Sound Quality: 9

Montrose live at the Agora Theatre, Cleveland possibly from April 5, 1976 with a set list based on the album Warner Brothers Presents... Montrose!.
By this time Bob James was the singer, Ronnie and Denny Carmassi were the only members that had recorded the phenomenal first album and the band would split by the end of the year. Still it's a great show, unfortunately incomplete.

Track List:
1 - I've Got The Fire
2 - Rock Candy
3 - O Lucky Man
4 - Black Train
5 - All I Need
6 - Matriarch

Montrose - Record Plant, Sausalito 1974 (Soundaboard Remaster)
This is a widely shared Montrose performance at the Record Plant studios in Sausalito, California.
The difference here is that I did a sonic treatment to this great songs and, this way, we can call it a Soundaboard exclusive that sounds pretty good in my opinion.
Sound Quality: 9

Track List:
1 - Roll Over Beethoven
2 - Evil
3 - Space Station #5
4 - I Got The Fire

Gong - Oslo 1974
ambient SBD (FLAC)
Decent sounding boots of 70's Gong are rare.
This one is pretty good & was recorded
during Bill Bruford's brief stint with the band.
He'd replaced Laurie Allen who was unable to cross
some European borders following a drugs bust.

Titus

Montrose
KSAN San Francisco 1973
FM source (FLAC)
Montrose before they even had a name.
I'll bet Ronnie had one in mind!
I have two versions of this, one I DL'd
& one I was sent on CD. The latter sounded
slightly better so that's the one you're getting.
Some slight drop-outs in 'Bad Motor Scooter'
but generally the sound is reasonable although
the radio station compressed it to death.
regards
Titus
