Judas Priest - Sweden Rock Festival 2004

After Rob Halford rejoined Judas Priest in 2003 they did a tour in Europe the year after.
One of the dates was at the 2004's Sweden Rock Festival headlining the first day. They will return there in the next June 5th as headliners again and most probably playing the new double album Nostradamus.
This recording was taken from a couple of recordings of the Swedish Radio broadcast and misses 2 or 3 songs from the set showing a Priest in very good shape.

The Dictators - Stockholm 1996

After Riot here's another band from New York: The Dictators.
This is one more great share by Titus:

The Dictators
Stockholm 1996
Radio broadcast in mp3 at 320kbps
Great quality recording of this fantastic band. If you are unfamiliar with them, I would describe their music as being somewhere between AC/DC & the Ramones. Hard rockin' garage/punk/metal with blistering lead guitar from Ross the Boss who went on to form Shakin' Street & later Man-O-War. He has recently been working with Albert Bouchard's Brain Surgeons.
Covers included

Titus

Riot - Roslyn NY 1981

We're back with Riot's classic metal, a band with a long and sometimes very problematic career, here playing in New York on the Fire Down Under tour. This still features the late Guy Speranza on vocals that soon after left the band.
Road Racin is not complete, its splitted in two tracks and missing a few seconds but its still a rocking show!

The Kinks - US Jive 1988

This is from the '88 tour in support of their live album The Road and includes recordings from Milwaukee, Wisconsin (tracks 1-12) and St.Louis, Missouri (tracks 13-16).
The Kinks is the kind of band that never disappoints me when heard live, studio recordings are a different matter though.
In this one I could find the time to share the files in both forms: lossy and lossless. You just have to choose :)

The Cult - Foxboro, MA 2001

Recorded some weeks before the release of Beyond Good And Evil but with only two songs from that album. Luckily i say, i love the Love/Electric period :)
A show at the Foxboro Stadium for the WBCN River Rave 2001 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. I don't think it is the full set, it was probably edited for broadcast, about 45 minutes of music only.

Status Quo - Stockholm 1971

Here they are, Status Quo ('Not in the Army...) for the first time in Soundaboard.
All thanks to Titus, it's another one from his archives.

Here's some vintage Quo.
A radio broadcast from Sweden in 1971.
Not a full show but excellent anyway.
Far superior to that rubbish they did later.(Jeez, I'm not going to picked up on that by 'In the Army Now' fans am I?)
I was thinking of calling it
'Not in the Army Yet'
But settled on
'Dog of Three Head' 'cos I thought
that title had more bite.(ouch)
Keep on rockin'

Kim Mitchell - Oshawa 1984

We have had Max Webster on this post, now it's time to hear a show from Kim Mitchell, former lead singer and guitarist from Max, in the same year he released the acclaimed Akimbo Alogo, his first solo LP.
This was recorded for broadcast on The Big Ticket, a program from the Canadian music television channel MuchMusic so expect excellent quality although not the complete show. A great performance, in the Max Webster's line of quality, that makes me wish i had the complete concert.

Two from Titus

This post is a double dose of music kindly uploaded by Titus.
Let's start with Judas Priest from 1978:

Judas Priest
Tokyo 31/7/78 (soundboard)

I have heard the 'Red Hot Tokyo'
show that is circulating. I think this is better.
I love 'Unleashed in the East'.
I think this is better.
From what I can tell Priest played four shows
in Japan in 1978. Two were in Tokyo.
I can find no date for 'Red Hot Tokyo' so I
assume it's from the other Tokyo show.
There are only six songs but for me JP
never sounded any better than this.
Les Binks is a fantastic drummer - check out
his playing on Roger Glover's 'Butterfly Ball'.
Ian Hill is as solid as ever - nobody ever mentions
him. He should get a Lifetime Achievement
award for 'Keeping a low Profile'.
KK to the left & Glenn to the right
with crisply crunching guitars from the days
when Rob Halford could REALLY do it.
("Do what?" I hear you snigger)

White Heat, Red Hot
Victim of Changes
Beyond the Realms of Death
Genocide (best ever version?)
Tyrant
Starbreaker

N.B. I have a sneaking suspicion that
'Starbreaker' may be from a different source.
It's in wav. with new covers
exclusive to soundaboard.
Regards.
Titus

Link (long gone)

Ok and now for something different, a prog-rock band called Volunteers, a personal recomendation from Titus. Try it!

Volunteers are a UK based band led by singer/lead guitarist Paul Bibby. Paul has been creating music for over 25 years. This album is a sample of songs from various recordings and features many different musicians. I play bass on two or three songs and wrote the words to one. Several of the tracks were recorded at my home studio. Paul has an original approach to music but, to give you an indication, he is very fond of Captain Beefheart & King Crimson.
So NOT for the faint hearted.
Artwork is included and it's all FREE!
