Bachman–Turner Overdrive - Ribfest, Minneapolis, MN 2001

Bachman-Turner Overdrive is a pretty straight forward rock'n'roll band that I always liked.
Most of their known songs are from the 1970's decade, a golden era for classic rock in general.
This is a good show from 2001 and features BTO with a line- up that went on from 1991 to  2005:
Randy Murray, Robbie Bachman, Fred Turner and Blair Thornton.

The band that put Overdrive into 70’s Rock music!

Best albums of 2023, AtticRock's choice

There you have it, as always, my pick of the best albums of the year that just ended.
In 2023 we had new albums from such classic acts as Yes, Jethro Tull, Rolling Stones, Uriah Heep, Paul Rodgers, Pretenders, Foo Fighters, Alice Cooper and Metallica.
And yet, as good as some of them were, for me the most exciting albums are listed below.
Some are personal favorites, of the kind that rarely make bad or even mediocre albums: Rival Sons, Greta Van Fleet, DeWolff.
Others were discovered just few months ago but I will be watching them closely in the future: Creeper, Green Lung, Wytch Hazel.
The rest are artists that produced great quality pieces and continue to despise the motto 'rock'nroll is dead': Graveyard, Iggy Pop, Duane Betts, The Struts.

To start, a 4 minute clip with previews from tracks of my top 10 albums.

Best tracks: Comments, Strung Out Johnny, New Atlantis

Wytch Hazel - IV: Sacrament

Best tracks: The Fire's Control, Future is Gold, Digging Deeper

Link Wray & Robert Gordon LIVE Bottom Line (New York, NY)AUG 14, 1977

LIVE
Bottom Line
(New York, NY)
AUG 14, 1977

Early rock guitarist Link Wray has the distinction of being one of the only—if not the only—guitarist to have been banned from the radio for an instrumental song. The ominous and gritty slow blues number "Rumble" (1958) scared the shit out of radio programmers who were convinced that Wray was glamorizing juvenile delinquency and anti-social behavior.
