These episodes were part of the 'Radio 2 Celebrates David Bowie' BBC Radio 2 specials.

... including the debut of Kooks, played only two days after the song was written! Also included are unique versions of songs from Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane, rare covers and extracts from some of the most revealing interviews Bowie ever gave.

A Jimi Hendrix documentary aired on 21 Sept 2010 on BBC Radio 2.
Jerry Hall marks the 40th anniversary of the death of Jimi Hendrix (18 September 1970) by considering his legacy as one of the most creative and influential musicians of the 20th Century...
Contributors to this programme include Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Pete Townshend, Paul McCartney (who saw Jimi's London gig on the weekend that Sgt Pepper's was released and Jimi played the album's title track), Monterey Festival organiser Lou Adler, Andy Fairweather Low, Tom McGuinness, Michael Wadleigh (who filmed Jimi at Woodstock), Donovan, (who was on stage with Jimi at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970), Eric Burdon, Phil Manzanera, Marsha Hunt, Eddie Kramer, etc.

Johnnie Walker's Long Players with Nick Mason

On September 18, 2017 BBC Radio 2 broadcast a Johnnie Walker's Long Players program to celebrate Radio 2's 50th Birthday.
Guests of the episode were Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason and Aubrey Po Powell artistic director of the band, who recalled the period in which The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn was recorded.

At the time of its release the radio dj Redbeard hosted a world premiere broadcast in his famous radio show In The Studio including interviews with band members David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright.

On January 9, Jimmy Page turned 80 years old, an impressive age, in particular for a rock'n'roll musician.
