Television was an American band from New York City formed in the seventies and are considered as one of the most influential of the punk rock era, despite only releasing three studio albums during their active career.
Their music is very guitar driven, courtesy of guitarists Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd. You can check that for yourself in Marquee Moon, a track with nearly 17 minutes!

Their performance of Foxhole on the Old Grey Whistle test made a big impact on many who saw it at the time.
Just saw the clip on Daily Motion, I suppose only part of a OGWT session.
If memory serves me Foxhole was all they showed
