The Rockets were one of those shoulda-been-huge Hard/Rock'n'Roll bands.
They were formed in the beginning of the seventies from ex-Detroit members Jim McCarthy (also ex-Cactus) and Johnny Bandajek, these were joined in 1976 by David Gilbert (ex-Amboy Dukes) on vocals.
They released six albums, the last one being the excellent Live Rockets from 1983 that I still hope to be reissued on CD someday. Anyway, this broadcast recording shows how good they were on stage.

Looks Rockin!
Many thanks for your great site, keeping the the links cool, and all your hard work!
Good Stuff! Thanks for having this available.
But it WAS released on official CD - I've had it several years! (Or did you mean RE-released on CD?)
Their '83 live CD was released some years ago but is almost impossible to find it nowadays. I don't want to pay around 100$ for a used copy like this here:

Hi dr, I can do it but only by the end of next week, btw you prefer mp3 or flac?
Not a rush at all, mate. Still working my way through all your fine posts!
MP3 is OK for me as it's easier to DL on my somewhat limited connection out here. But if anyone else requests, I can always convert the FLACs for my personal use. Whatever's easier for you!
Thanks for the great music!
