Thanks A LOT for this one.
For decades now Albert King and Bloomfield have been my 2 favorite blues guitarists.
Even tho the 1st song here is cut and the 8th song is sourced from a MPEG file, I'm glad you posted this 2nd version since the 1st version was missing the 1st and 8th song.
Here's list of some of the musicians with him for this gig.
Mike Bloomfield: g,(vocals on 1-3, 8) John Kahn: b
Ron Wilmuth:trumpet
Ron " Rev" Stallings: sax, (voc. on Tracks 4-7
John Kahn: b yeah!
How can I tell if a flac file came from an MP3? I've often wondered about that...
Oh yeah put up the Quicksilver and or Fleetwood Mac portions of the show if you have them.
Thanks.
How can I tell if a flac file came from an MP3?
There is no way to know.
I don't know if there is a way to check a FLAC file if any of it is sourced from a MP3, BUT, here's the way to check a WAV file from a FLAC file if any of that FLAC file was sourced from a MP3.
When I decode the FLAC file to WAV using Trader's Little Helper (which is free software)I check the box..that says 'test decoded files for MPEG'... After decoding the individual FLAC files to WAV each individual file is analyzed, here's the results for the Bloomfield FLAC.
01 - If You See My Baby.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 100%.
02 - Poor Kelly.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 100%.
03 - Statesboro Blues.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 100%.
04 - You Won't See Me.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 85%.
05 - She's Mine.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 99%.
06 - Come Back Baby.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 100%.
07 - Driftin' and Driftin'.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 99%.
08 - Drinkin´Wine.wav: track looks like MPEG with probability 100%.
In this case it is probably right, just listen to it with headphones and immediately you notice that track 8 is much poorer in quality.
But don't always trust in software, first trust your hear.
The freeware program foobar2000 plays flac files. Foobar2000 displays the bit rate as the flac plays. Mp3 sourced flac files display
350 or less depending on what rate the mp3 was encoded. Programs like Traders little helper are very good at finding mp3 sourced files. Noise reduced files never get a 100 percent rating. I have some flac files that play with a bitrate of just over 500. I suspect that these files were noise reduced or downsampled.
Hi,
can you re-up flac?
Thanks.
Ok, it's done!
