Roy Buchanan LIVE Stanhope, NJ, 1988-06-30

Roy Buchanan (September 23, 1939 – August 14, 1988) was an American guitarist and blues musician. A pioneer of the Telecaster sound, Buchanan worked as both a sideman and solo artist, with two gold albums early in his career,  and two later solo albums that made it on to the Billboard chart. Despite never having achieved stardom, he is still considered a highly influential guitar player. Guitar Player praised him as having one of the "50 Greatest Tones of all Time."

The Electric Flag on Disc
A Review of Studio and Bootleg Recordings
 By David Dann
full review in attached notepad

This performance likely comes from a casual Sunday afternoon show at the Carousel Ballroom. The Electric Flag shared the stage with Erma Franklin, Aretha’s sister, and – with the exception of Michael Bloomfield – provided backup for her during her set.

The Carousel appearance captures the Flag at a moment when the band was beginning to come apart from the pressures of commercial expectations, personality conflicts and drugs. Despite its uneven performance, however, the group displays its exceptional drive and musicianship – and its penchant for experimentation.

Neil Young And The Blue Notes - Kind Of Blue 1987/1988

Neil Young And The Blue Notes

Neil Young
established himself as one of the most influential and idiosyncratic singer/songwriters of his generation. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website describes Young as "one of rock and roll's greatest songwriters and performers". He was inducted into the Hall of Fame twice, first as a solo artist in 1995, and second as a member of Buffalo Springfield in 1997. From the beginning of his solo career in the late '60s through to the 21st century, he never stopped writing, recording, and performing; his official catalog only represented a portion of his work, since he kept countless tapes of unreleased songs in his vaults.

Rival Sons - Main Square Festival, Arras, France 2015

The Rival Sons are certainly one of best 'new' groups around. Originating from Long Beach, California they play a bluesy Hard Rock that, although inspired on the top classic Rock acts, has a freshness and energy that only a modern band can present.
This sound (lossy) was extracted from a video of their gig at the Main Square Festival in France. It took place ten days ago, on the course of the current European tour.

Willie Dixon The Quiet Night Live in Chicago Jan 24 1974

He delivered one of the best  shows I ever been to!

Here's a classic, excellent sounding Blues show of the great Willie Dixon with his All Star Band, broadcasted by WXRT-FM Chicago & recorded by Bob Craig to reel. This flawless recording shows Willie & his men in top form! Dixon is among the greats of the Chicago Blues and played Bass for Muddy Waters, Howlin´Wolf, John Lee Hooker and countless others.
