The Godz - Agora Ballroom, Cleveland 1979

The Godz was a pretty straightforward hard rock band from Columbus, Ohio, formed in early 1976.
They released a self titled first album in 1978 that has a powerful ten minute version of Golden Earring's 'Candy's Going Bad' and the second, Nothing Is Sacred, in 1979 which is referred as the new album during this concert.
They used a Sladish style on naming songs.

Thanks for this! My mom worked at a radio station in '78 and brought home a promo copy of THE GODZ. I loved it, but for many years, I never knew anyone who'd ever even heard of them.

First two albums were pretty good. The covers were a bit naff though :)

Their sound reminds me of a band named Starz, or is it just the 'z'? lol
