When the rock historians get down to painting a true picture of who
invented Rock and Roll, JOHNNY OTIS will undoubtedly be one of the
key figures in the musical revolution on the west coast of America in the
40's and 50's. He was responsible for discovering and employing some of
the great rhythm and blues singers and instrumentalists as well as writing
some of the classic songs of that era. His own hits include numbers like
"Harlem Nocturne", "Cry Baby Cry" "Ma He's Making Eyes At Me" and
"Willie and The Hand Jive".
