Krokus - Cobo Hall Detroit 84

More European eighties Metal aboard, now with Krokus at the Cobo Hall, Detroit.
The Swiss band was the opening act for Sammy Hagar on this night and the focus were Headhunter, the album from the previous year and The Blitz, both very sucessful in the U.S.

i saw them on the opposite side of the state (michigan) that same year. they were with dokken then. still remember that show vividly

Thanks for posting this show. Their studio LPs may have left a little to be desired (Hardware and Metal Rendezvous are the best) but live, these guys were a force of nature. I saw them in 1983 in Baton Rouge, LA where they were 2nd on a bill that included The Jon Butcher Axis (1st on) and Def Leppard (the headliners).

When Krokus came out, myself and only a handful of other people got on our feet but by the time they finished their set the entire place was going nuts. When Def Lep took the stage it was clear that there was no competiton. Me, my friends and good bit of other folks left about 3 songs into their set. To this day it was the most pitiful case of being blown-off-the-stage-by-an-opening-act I've ever witnessed.

A few weeks later I read (in Circus I do believe) that Krokus was tossed off the tour. HHhhmmmm...I wonder why....
