I was there. I'd never heard of them so it was a pleasant surprise. I think Uli Roth was long gone by then. I went out to buy 'Tokyo Tapes' the week after. Cheers.
Yes, Uli left the band before Tokyo Tapes (which I have it on my collection too) was released.
Of course he plays on it, since it was recorded in the Japan '78 tour, the last with Uli Roth.
