Here they are, Status Quo ('Not in the Army...) for the first time in Soundaboard.
All thanks to Titus, it's another one from his archives.
Here's some vintage Quo.
A radio broadcast from Sweden in 1971.
Not a full show but excellent anyway.
Far superior to that rubbish they did later.(Jeez, I'm not going to picked up on that by 'In the Army Now' fans am I?)
I was thinking of calling it
'Not in the Army Yet'
But settled on
'Dog of Three Head' 'cos I thought
that title had more bite.(ouch)
Keep on rockin'

Any chance you could rip to mp3 far to big for me as wave files
Why is it too big for you? It's in wav. ready for burning & I do not wish to dilute the quality.
Titus
I only have dialup and will time out before I can get it all I hate living in a 3rd world counrty like Australia:(
I made a mirror with the files in MP3, hope you can get it :)
Atticrock
Please don't convert my files again. You will get me in trouble.
Titus
I am gutted!

"You will get me in trouble" ??????
It is the full show actually.
Thanks for the converted files
Why would anyone get into trouble ?
When I am given some of my shows I promise not to distribute them in lossy formats. Should my sources see that I have allowed lossy convertions I will not be offered anything else. I may also be kicked off some sites. I hope this explains my objections. Please don't do this to me AtticRock.
Titus
I understand your point Titus, thanks for the explanation, I'm thinking the next time its better to give the MP3 link through email to those interested.
Anyway no one in their perfect sense can blame you, once you post a link to any file anyone can do what I did...
Jonty,
It's only 40 mins or so & there is an audience. This may be the full broadcast but I doubt it is the full show. Then again I could be wrong...
Titus
Oh & AtticRock - thanks for understanding! Maybe I am being overprotective, but I'm sure you are aware of how some people on the net are about these issues.
P.s. Why no comment section for the new UFO post? Scared of what I might say? Ho Ho
The comments are turned on now, it was an error I did while editing the post.
Scared? Man, this is free for all to say what they want, good or bad :)
Of course if it was more bad than good then I think the blog would disappear very quickly hehe
Quo-oh-oh-oh-oh!
Thanks guys for this!
It is definately the whole show.
It is from a radio session recorded 24th November 1971.
Nice stuff
OK jonty we believe you!
Titus
Thanks for the explination I fully understand what your saying I would hate to see you loose access to some great stuff like the stuff offered here. Maybe as AtticRock said email would be a better oprion and no one would be the wiser.
Once again THANKS guys for your efforts.
Thanks for all the comments. The more we get, the more we share. I have sympathy for those who may still have clockwork computers. I remember being on dial-up myself. It was when I worked on the brontosaurus farm!!!
Regards
Titus
Titus
Was that the red hair variety or the brown breed
I have the hairy brown brontosaurus breed we are hopping to start cross breeding with my pet Trex next year :)

All credit on this goes to Titus, I may be able to post a Quo gig from 1973 in the next week.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment.

Great to hear a quality audio of the Quo from the dawn of time. This is a seriously great snapshot of pre-fame Quo before the rot set in. Solid Stuff! Thanks Titus.
Nine months or so since the last comment....mmmm....
I've actually got this on a CD I bought ages 'n' ages ago and its called 'Roadhouse Blues' on Triangle Records.
Now, I don't know the truth in all this but I was told that this show was actually Lewisham Odeon....
There is also three pre-Quo (Traffic Jam) tracks on it as well - 'I don't Want You' - 'It Takes Two' and 'Almost But Not Quite There'.
Anyway, blinding all the same. I wish I was older to of witnessed the mighty Quo back in the old days. Sadly I wouldn't give 'em a light now...shame. The rot set in at about '81 I 'spose but thats a my own opinion. I think ALL the old Quo nuts would agree
Thanx again
Dean
Woops, sorry for posting the above comment for the stockholm boot, it was meant for the 'Paris Theater' gig.
This one is great though, what a fantasic sound.
It kinda sounds like Quo in their pre-drugs days as well. Quite a muted Rossi.
Cheers
Dean
Pretty sure it's the Paris Theatre. The BBC did a lot of recording there in the early 70s.
