News aboard!

First of all, Titus, a regular contributor of Soundaboard has resigned :) He decided to go solo, I invite everybody to check out his project here, it's cool stuff:As you - regulars here - know, Titus has done quite an impressive work on uploading and sharing stuff so naturally the lack of his posts will be noticed. Particularly with the prog-rock fans.
For me the compromise assumed here, in my very first post, still remains valid. However I can't promise more than 3 or 4 shows every week maintaining Soundaboard quality standards and a natural emphasis on the Classic Rock side of music of course.
I plan on doing some changes, mostly visual, on the next weeks. As always comments and suggestions are very appreciated.
It has been almost two years since this project started and I'm still enjoying the ride.
I hope you too!

Trans-Siberian Orchestra (for K.D.)

(West Touring Group) FM (webcast?)
Rockline Los Angeles, CA 2008 (FLAC)

The Christmas fetishists performing live
in the Rockline studios. Good sound quality
with just the odd glitch. To me this is
music for people who are not into music
but hey K.D. loves 'em so what do I know!
Musical genius or a sterile placebo?
On a positive note:
they have a great lighting rig.

Decent sounding boots of 70's Gong are rare.
This one is pretty good & was recorded

He'd replaced Laurie Allen who was unable to cross

Montrose before they even had a name.
I'll bet Ronnie had one in mind!
I have two versions of this, one I DL'd
& one I was sent on CD. The latter sounded
slightly better so that's the one you're getting.
Some slight drop-outs in 'Bad Motor Scooter'
but generally the sound is reasonable although
the radio station compressed it to death.

Echolyn, Return to Forever & Van der Graaf Generator

Echolyn - New Jersey 2002
'Jersey Tomato' (mp3/160kbps)

This is an excellent soundboard which was
officially released but is now out of print.
Don't be put off by the low bit rate,
the sound quality is very good.
Thanks to guitarist/singer Brett Kull for
giving me permission to post it here.
To my ears it's a mix of Canterbury/neo-prog.
As good as Caravan or Spock's beard at their best.
I told Brett being on soundaboard would be
good promotion for the band. So c'mon guys,
don't let me down, grab it now!

Robert Plant - Tall Cool One (1990) Remastered

Rob Plant live on the tour for the promotion of the interesting album Manic Nirvana, live in the Universal Amphitheater, Los Angeles.
As some of you already know I'm not very enthusiastic on re-mastering these shows, I've downloaded some 'Remasters' that claimed to be great and in the end they sounded a lot worse than the original...
I have some knowledge on audio editing/mastering but I prefer to do the edits for myself (when I have the time) and share things here unedited.
In this exception I did it because i really think it got audibly better than the original that lacked mostly bass. The source were Flac files extracted from the "Tall Cool One" boot CD.
If anyone is curious to hear the original and compare just ask in the comments and I'll upload a track for you to hear the difference.
The covers are included and come from Zeppelin Art, a great site for all the Zeppelin and related cover art!
