Regarding the comment about Tony Banks being all right-hand... hey, nothing wrong with being 'all right-hand'... as a teenager, I was "all right-hand", three times a day LOL and I turned out okay ;)

Volunteers are a UK based band led by singer/lead guitarist Paul Bibby. Paul has been creating music for over 25 years.This album is a sample of songs from various recordings and features many different musicians. I play bass on two or three songs and wrote the words to one. Several of the tracks were recorded at my home studio. Paul has an original approach to music but, to give you an indication, he is very fond of Captain Beefheart & King Crimson.
So NOT for the faint hearted.

Aye, lad... I turned out just fine :) (sure, my palms are hairy, and I need to wear glasses, but other than that, I'm sound)
Regarding the 'right-handed' comment, they primarily discontinued the Firth intro not because Tony couldn't handle it, but because of the difficulties in getting a proper piano-type sound out of the early 70's keyboard equipment. I do believe Tony was quite capable of playing his own material, regardless of the missed notes here and there.
Rubbish! I've heard the boots & he always plays it crap. The last performance he just lost it completely prompting Collins to hastily shout 1234 at which point the band hit the beginning (proper)- the intro was never played again.

Those who think that Tony "is all right hand' and couldn't play his own material don't know what they are talking about. Tony's troubles with the "Firth" introduction live were a combination of troubles with the RMI keyboard and his very bad nerves. Tony was indeed a bundle of nerves onstage, especially during the early days, and he felt very uncomfortable playing his solo bit live to open the number. End of story.
P.S. The "posh boys" are not "fluent", at all. Peter's schoolboy French in the introductions to these numbers is often quite bad. Kudos to him for trying, though!

I can't restore the link as I don't have the files, Titus shared it here but I haven't heard from him for quite some time...
Before this digital version, a vinyl version existed. At the time, the vinyl was called "L'ange Gabriel". Except that it was a simple album, so the line-up was not complete. You could hear: Watcher of the Skies, Dancing with the Moonlit Knight Cinema Show, I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe) Firth of Fifth and The Musical Box.
In fact, the soundtrack show from a broadcast on the radio station CHOM-FM radio. The show was held at the Centre sportif de l'Université de Montréal April 21, 1974.
