Bob Seger: Los Angeles 1975

Remember Live Bullet? A great live album from the Detroit giant Bob Seger. This was recorded one year before and it is a FM broadcast from a concert on Los Angeles on the Beautiful Loser tour. There are some minor cuts and some tape hiss but let's not forget this was recorded 32 years ago!
I don't have more information on this one, but of course it rocks!

Sound Quality: 9

Track List:
01 Steal Your Love Away
02 Back in '72
03 Bo Diddley
04 Travelin' Man
05 Beautiful Loser
06 Bringin' It Back from Mexico
07 Ramblin' Gamblin' Man
08 Katmandu (last seconds missing)

I liked this concert. It's interesting, if you've followed the career of an artist, to go back and hear their early stuff...kind of like Musical Archaeology, in a sense.

In this case, remembering what Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band sounded like on the Live Bullet album, polished and totaly kick-ass, and then listen to this, and hear songs performed shorter, and not nearly as polished. Bob was still developing his chops, still working on his crowd banter, but the raw gem was there, and you can hear it here...xtreme coolness, for sure. Thanx for the DL!

Thanks for the comment H.P.D.
And after reading this I remembered I had made a promise of doing more Seger uploads, which i'll do soon.

Seger actually used to live about 5miles from here at the time this was recorded, but at that time, that was just a local rock-fan rumor (that later turned out to be true). His earlier stuff is just great; I'm sorry that some younger listeners might not be aware of the excellent reasons he's a Hall Of Famer. Would be great to locate some really early demos or even earlier live stuff.

I'm quite sure that this recording is from the Whisky-a-Go-Go, August 8, 1975.
