Van Halen - Ipswich 1978

Let's go back 30 years with this great VH show that Titus brought aboard.

There might just be a clue in the way D L Roth refers to the audience as "Ipswich"
Mind you in those days he may not have known who or were he was
Many Cheers! for this one Titus, it sounds even better on the old Gramaphone.

Another great post from you sir! WOW... This is my first VH boot; and being a much bigger fan of their earlier music, this is quite the gem- good sound and very high energy! I actually felt a few chill bumps when I heard the opening riffs for D.O.A.! Haven't heard that one in ages- Thanks again for your blog!

I live in Ipswich! :-) Along with GnR 'Appetite' I consider 'Van Halen' one of the all time great debut albums. My first concert was seeing Ozzy in '95 at the Regent (formerly Gaumont). I'm looking forward to hearing this, it's slightly older than I am, but I'll try and picture myself there...

Since I first heard this I have told several people to check it out, including someone that I met in HMV today who had attended this as a youngster. Needless to say, they were pleased for the info.

I hope so, many VH boots are not even a 5-6 and they are posted as flac!?!
When they may as well be posted in some more suitable format such as mp3 128k but I have not had this issue on your site. Everything I have got from here has been quality. So thanks for your work
