The Rock Show with Johnnie Walker - BBC Radio 2 (2024)

Johnnie Walker was an English radio disc jockey and broadcaster. He began his career in 1966 on pirate radio station Swinging Radio England before joining Radio Caroline. Then joined BBC Radio 1 in 1969 and BBC Radio 2 in 1998. From 2009 to 2024, he presented Sounds of the 70s on Sunday afternoons and The Radio 2 Rock Show on Friday nights from 2018 to 2024.
On 6 October 2024, Walker announced his retirement from broadcasting after 58 years because of ill health. 
On his final Rock Show, on October 25, Johnnie played his favorite rock anthems from artists as The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, The Kinks, etc.

Tom Petty's Buried Treasure was a radio show that Petty presented during several years. It began in December 2004 and was initially aired on XM Satellite Radio.
The songs in his playlists were rock'n'roll, blues, and R&B rarities mainly from the fifties and sixties from his personal record collection.
This Christmas special was episode 13 of season 3.

Bill Nelson - Keystone, Palo Alto, San Francisco 1981

Guitarist, singer-songwriter and composer, Bill Nelson was the founder of Be-Bop Deluxe, an influential group that was active between 1972 and 1978, having released some excellent albums in such short career.
In 1981 he did a U.S. tour supporting his solo album, Quit Dreaming and Get on the Beam.
From the same tour is this show from July 29, at the Keystone, the legendary live music club in Palo Alto, San Francisco.
