FM recording... in Cuba in 1979... looks like some fake information. If I ask an AI, it for sure will say, NO NO, NOT POSSIBLE !!!

Just read the notes, the U.S. ban on Cuba had been lifted and the record company, probably sensing a business opportunity, organized a three-night series of concerts in Havana at the 4800-seat Karl Marx Theater (where else really?)

Not so unusual as some people tend to believe here. It was a big event with many well known mainly American artists. The Trio of Doom album with McLaughlin, Pastorius and Tony Williams is based on the same event. And there were FM broadcasts.

Havana Jam was a three-day music festival that took place at the Karl Marx Theatre in Havana, Cuba, from March 2 to March 4, 1979. The event was sponsored by Bruce Lundvall, the president of Columbia Records, Jerry Masucci, the president of Fania Records, and the Cuban Ministry of Culture. The festival also included American acts such as Weather Report, the CBS Jazz All-Stars, the Trio of Doom, Fania All-Stars, Stephen Stills, Billy Swan, Bonnie Bramlett, Mike Finnigan, Kris Kristofferson, Tony Williams, Jaco Pastorius, John McLaughlin, Rita Coolidge, and Billy Joel, as well as Cuban acts

Hi Rippin Frog (and the guys) I note that dear pal and fellow muso blogger par excellence Speedy at So Many Roads had posted this (the artwork is his I believe) some while back so with this and yours and now the excellent link from Seattleite in FLAC we have access to all 11 tracks in toto. I have collected all the info in one place on my blog pages . . .’s’alright nobody reads it anyway! ;)
