Motorhead - Hot Point Festival, Lausanne 1988

Post dedicated to the memory of Lemmy (1945 - 2015) and Philthy 'Animal' Taylor (1954 – 2015).

First with some reuploads with Motorhead stuff:
Motorhead - Vienna, Austria 1982
Motorhead - Birmingham Town Hall 1977
Motorhead - Rock In Rio, Portugal (2010)

And a show that is new on Soundaboard and probably one of the best sounding out there. There aren't many good unofficial recordings by Motorhead that I'm aware of.
It was recorded at the Hot Point Festival in Lausanne on September 1st 1988 and has been circulating with the title Deaf Forever.
It's from the same tour that led to the edition of their second live album No Sleep at All, released about a month after, and all of its songs are played here.
Foverer Motorhead!

It'll take some time for me to wear my Motorhead T-shirt again. Too sad story for me nowadays. I had my tickets for the Motorhead show this February in Paris... but didn't even want them to be paid back because of the cancellation. Mr. Lemmy was my hero, and still is. Not really for the music in itself but he was the incarnation of all what Rock'n'roll is all about.
I'll download this concert and will give it a listen when the sadness will be gone.

Thanks for sharing,

Derek from Paris

I hear you Derek, also for me Lemmy represented the true spirit/soul of rock'n'roll.
Unfortunately the DJ that introduced me to their music on the Portuguese public radio when I was 12 or 13 years old has passed away some years ago. I can't think of a better person to do a proper homage to Lemmy.
A pity we won't see them live any more. I saw Motorhead 3 times, the last one was Rock in Rio 2010 and it's shared here.
Cheers

I had my ticket for Paris too.
Lemmy was Mr Rock'n'roll
I have two soundboard bootlegs from Le Bataclan, 1980 and 1982 from french radio (before FM) but the sound is not good
