Hello,
Happy to be the first to thank for sharing all these gems.
I am a great fan and miss Rory very often. I was lucky to see him live for the Photo Finish Tour and it was fantastic. Congratulation for the good job done.
Best regards,
drogos

Just want to backup the comment above, one of the great things about your site is the posting of Rory boots, the man was a genius guitar player IMHO and this boot has 'Bad Penny' too, what more could you ask for??!!
This is a great follow up to your fantastic blues posts last month - Big Thanks

When I called the Guthrie Theater to order tickets for this show I asked the woman in the box office what seats were available. She said where would you like to sit? You're the first one to call. I asked her where would she sit if she was going to the show. She told me her favorite seats were in the balcony and they were called "The Queen's box". She said they were the best seats in the house. So I told her I'd take two. She was right.

We had a fantastic view the sound was incredible and it was LOUD. Everything about that show was perfection. Rory's guitar playing and his singing, Gerry's bass playing, Brendan's drumming and Mark Feltham's harp playing. They were really having a good time that night. They were super tight.

We definitely got their A+ performance. I also remember how appreciative Rory was to the response from the audience. I think he also appreciated what a fantastic venue the Guthrie Theater was. A world class theater AND he could see the whites of the audiences eyes. Perfect combination for a fabulous performance.

My favorite show of all time.

Glad I could pass it along.

Thanks a million.

A million thanks for the generous offering. But please do check FLAC pt. 3 -- it's not operating properly and fails to download. Thank you . . . .

Many, many thanks for this outstanding show. I was lucky enough to see Rory in the UK in '72,'73,'74,'77,'79 and'88. I never saw him give or read a review of him giving a dud show. Truly THE PEOPLE'S GUITARIST. Sadly, tragically missed in this age of instant, talentless, five minute stardom.
Michael.

I saw a RG album in a record store in 1971 with his beat-up Strat and thought that it must be worth a try. It was. I have a ton of Gallagher's recordings on both vinyl and CD and actually got a chance to see him a couple of times, once opening for ZZ Top and once for Paul Butterfield's Better Days. In each case, no one seemed to be in too much of a hurry to get to the main business of the evening, such was the quality of the show. We all seem to concur that Rory was a wonderful player and a great and sincere showman who had a lot of genuine interaction with his audiences. Thanks for sharing this.

AtticRock, When you get an opportunity, could you reup the 1991 Rory Gallagher show from Minnesota. I know things are hectic right now, so no big rush. Thanks for continuing on. It is greatly appreciated!!

It's the 12th December and I'm unable to download Parts 3 & 4 because it's been listed with Megaupload who are in trouble with the FBI. Can anyone remedy this situation please? Regards, Peter Dawson (Sydney).

Peter, the person who shared this was at the concert, and his ticket as shown on top, has the March 20 as date.
I left the mp3 links only since the rest of the flac files were gone.
Cheers

So are you saying that if I download the MP3 files I'll get the entire concert?

AtticRock said...

That's correct.

I can't access the links for the MP files for this concert and get routed to another page on "accessing creative works" ???. Are these links still active ?
