Riot - Roslyn NY 1981

We're back with Riot's classic metal, a band with a long and sometimes very problematic career, here playing in New York on the Fire Down Under tour. This still features the late Guy Speranza on vocals that soon after left the band.
Road Racin is not complete, its splitted in two tracks and missing a few seconds but its still a rocking show!

Hello AR,
Only 40? - you're just a boy!
I was wondering if you like The Dictators. They're from New York City. They were signed to Columbia records, were produced by Sandy Pearlman & Murray Krugman and have an outstanding virtuoso lead guitarist. Sounds familiar...

Hi Titus
I've read about The Dictators but never heard their music. I know about Ross and the BOC producers of course...

Saw Riot in 1980 at the first (and best?) Monsters of Rock festival at Castle Donington. I attended the first seven!

How about...

Great quality recording of this fantastic band. If you are unfamiliar with them, I would describe their music as being somewhere between AC/DC & the Ramones. Hard rockin' garage/punk/metal with blistering lead guitar from Ross the Boss who went on to form Shakin' Street & later Man-O-War. He has recently been working with Albert Bouchard's Brain Surgeons.

Wow, you've seen a lot of Monsters man :) Great memories you must have, when are you starting a blog to tell them?
I'll be happy to help out if you need assistance.
Thanks for the Dictators, I've heard two Shakin Street albums and I think I have a boot from them but low quality, I'll have to check my archives.
Cheers

Thanks for the Riot, Great band, I have often wondered why they never made it big, Saw them often back east way back in the day and they were always great.
